Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University Scholarships 2018

For all Master students

1. 50% Scholarship

XJTLU offers a generous scholarship of 50% of the total tuition fee for all full-time mastersprogrammes. All applicants will be considered for this scholarship based on academic merit.

Note: There are currently no scholarships available for part-time programmes.

All applicants for full-time programmes will be considered for this scholarship, based on academic merit.

2. Alumni discount

If you are a graduate of XJTLU, the University of Liverpool or Xi’an Jiaotong University, you will automatically receive a discount of 20% of the tuition fee.

For all Bachelor students

XJTLU has a range of scholarships and awards on offer to international students at undergraduate level for 2018/17 entry.

1. Entry Scholarship

The University offers an entry scholarship of up to RMB40,000 (approximately USD6,250) per year for international undergraduate students of the 2018/17 intake.

Notes:

1) In applying for the Entry Scholarship, you are required to submit a Scholarship Application Form. Please read the Application Guidelies Carefully.

2) The Entry Scholarship can be continued if the recipient’s average score over all courses of the previous academic year rank within the top 25% amongst all students on the same academic programme during his/her year of study at XJTLU. For details, please contact the International Student Recruitment and Support office or read the Application Guidelines.

3) The Entry Scholarship and the Jasmine Scholarship can not be awarded simultaneously.

Who can apply:

any international student who has applied or is applying for full time degree programme at XJTLU in September of the 2018/17 academic year.

Application deadline: 15th June 2018

1st round: 15 Nov 2018

2nd round: 15 Feb 2018

3rd round: 31 Mar 2018

4th round: 15 May 2018

5th round: 15 June 2018

2. Progression Scholarship

Progression scholarships are awarded annually on the basis of students’ overall average marks in the previous academic session.

1st Class: RMB10,000

2nd Class: RMB5,000

For all PhD students

XJTLU offers a number of PhD scholarships for outstanding graduate students to join the XJTLU research community. The scholarships cover the tuition fee and a monthly stipend of RMB 3,500 for three years. You will be automatically considered for a scholarship when you apply for admission. Please send your degree certificates, official transcripts, language qualification, CV and personal statement to potential supervisors (and copy in Doctoralstudies@xjtlu.edu.cn) to see if there is any scholarship opportunity or other funding opportunities. This relates not only to your past academic record, but also to an assessment of your chosen topic and to your likely aptitude to complete a PhD in the time allocated.

DUSHU LAKE SCIENCE AND

EDUCATION INNOVATION DISTRICT

The accommodation facilities are located within the Dushu Lake Science and Education Innovation District and managed privately by the Suzhou Industrial Park Education Development and Investment Limited Company. They also serve students studying at other institutions.

RESERVING ACCOMMODATION

We will assist in booking accommodation with SIPEDI when you have received your unconditional offer and paid your deposit to secure your place at the University.

COST OF LIVING

Suzhou boasts a reasonable cost of living. Accommodation expenses (excluding utilities and internet access) for international students range from RMB 15,500 to 31,000 (approximately USD 3,000 to 5,000) per year, depending on the type of accommodation you choose.
